Dr. Palmer Peet

Dr. Palmer Peet, chiropractor

Dr. Palmer’s, as his patients affectionately call him, chiropractic story began at two days of age. You see that’s when he had his first chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Palmer grew up in a family of chiropractors. Both his parents practiced chiropractic for over 50 years. His grandfather, Dr. J.J. Killeen graduated from the Palmer School of Chiropractic in 1913 and was one of the very first Doctors of Chiropractic to ever practice in the state of New York. Now, one of Dr. Palmer’s children also holds a degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic, making the Peet’s a family of four generations of chiropractors. There has been a Doctor of Chiropractic in Dr. Palmer’s family non-stop for the past 110 years.

Dr. Palmer grew up under regular chiropractic care, along with his four siblings, three of which also became Doctors of Chiropractic. He and his siblings never knew what it was like to be sick. He was raised totally drug-free and no one in his immediate family ever took any medications.

Dr. Palmer’s parents, Drs. Helen and Nelson Peet had their practice in their home. Even as a child growing up, he saw first-hand patients that would enter his parent’s practice sick, unwell, and suffering. Then, sometimes in short order, they’d become well, vibrant, and remain well for years. It was only natural for him to want to follow in their footsteps.

So, Dr. Palmer became a Doctor of Chiropractic, doing his undergraduate studies at Tulane University. He then entered Life Chiropractic College and graduated with honors with a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic in 1983. He’s spent most of that time since then in active chiropractic practice. He quickly had one of the largest practices in New England, and almost immediately began giving back in numerous ways outside his office.

He’s served on the Board of a non-profit Foster Care Program. He was appointed by two different governors to serve on the Vermont Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where he became the chairperson. He co-authored chiropractic texts used by Doctors of Chiropractic in relation to the care and management of pediatric and prenatal chiropractic cases. He’s been a post-graduate faculty member of Life University, an adjunct faculty member at Life Chiropractic College West, and served as the Director of Alumni Relations at Life Chiropractic College West. He’s also served as the Representative Assembly Person for the International Chiropractors Association for both Vermont and California. He sits on the Board of Directors of the International Chiropractors Association. He’s been an officer in the Vermont Chiropractic Association. He’s a member of the President’s Circle at both Life University and Life Chiropractic College West. He’s been a past instructor of Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP). Dr. Palmer has also represented the Vermont Board of Chiropractic Examiners at the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Board. He holds membership in the International Chiropractors Association-ICA and the California Chiropractic Association-CalChiro.

Dr. Palmer states that although he has served the chiropractic profession as a teacher, author, lecturer, college administrator, and government official, his true love has always been as a practitioner. He states “ I love caring for people and seeing the potential for self-healing awakened inside them each time they receive a chiropractic adjustment”.

Dr. Catherine Peet

Dr. Katherine Peet, Chiropractor

Dr. Catherine’s chiropractic story began later in life. In her twenties and thirties, she found herself always becoming sick. Whether it was a bad cold, extreme allergies, or some type of infection, it seemed that despite living a healthy lifestyle, exercising regularly, and eating a clean anti-inflammatory diet, sickness would be present every month. She didn’t experience any back pain or regular headaches, and she never thought about reaching out to a chiropractor for help.

Then her life dramatically changed after she started getting regular chiropractic adjustments. Her immune system began to get stronger and stronger, and all her problems went away, and she has now been infection free since. She also witnessed the same changes in her 7-year-old son, who had been experiencing regular colds, ear infections, and other sicknesses.

He became one of the healthiest kids at school, and no longer needed medication or had to take sick days. After Dr. Catherine fully understood the power of having a properly aligned spine and nervous system, she couldn’t sit on the sidelines any longer. She decided that she, too, had to help people find the root of the cause of their ailments and show them that there is hope to gain back their health and express their full potential without drugs or surgeries.

She focuses on the structural and neurological correction of the nervous system through Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care, Chiropractic Biophysics, Full spine adjusting, and Neurological exercises. The techniques that she uses are gentle, low force, effective, and tailored specifically to each individual and their body.

Dr. Catherine received her Bachelor’s degree from Sherbrooke University in Physical Education and Kinesiology. She graduated from Lifewest Chiropractic College Suma Cum Laude – Salutatorian of the Summer 2020 class. While attending Life Chiropractic College West, she was the president of the Functional Neurology Club. During her chiropractic education, she received the following awards:

  • Clinical excellence award for the Summer 2020 class
  • Clinical Gold award
  • “DO” award from the Do-Love-Serve-Give from Lifewest Chiropractic College

Dr. Catherine holds membership in the International Chiropractors Association-ICA, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association-ICPA, and the California Chiropractic Association-CalChiro. She has performed internships with renowned functional neurologists and functional medicine chiropractors. She has further taken continued education seminars with the ICPA –International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has done additional training in Chiropractic Biophysics technique, Activator technique, Sacro-Occipital-techniques, and SOT. Dr. Catherine has taken over 200 hours of continued education and certification in Functional Neurology with the Carrick Institute and IAFNR and has taken continued education seminars in Functional Medicine and Nutrition
