What to expect on your
First Visit
Is it your first time visiting a chiropractor? It’s completely normal to be nervous and to wonder what to expect. Learn what you should be aware of during your first visit with Drs. Palmer and Catherine Peet at PCH Chiropractic, and discover what you can do to make your visit as stress-free as possible. Rest easy with the knowledge that Drs. Peet does not accept all patients. They only take on the cases that they feel they can truly help. If yours is not a chiropractic case, they will make the necessary referral and help guide you. If, however, they can help you, then they will begin your care promptly.
Complete New Patient Forms
Prior to your first chiropractic appointment, we encourage you to complete our new patient forms, which can be found on our website and downloaded or completed in the office. This information provides us with insight regarding your health and medical history before we even begin. In turn, this allows us to create a customized plan of action suited to you and your needs.
Getting to Know Our Space
When you arrive at our office for the first time, we want to put you at ease as quickly as possible, while keeping everything familiar and fun. One of our team members will provide a tour of the offices, including educating you about the process of chiropractic care, explaining the history behind it, and describing how spinal adjustments can contribute to your ongoing health.
During your tour, you will view the diagnostic imaging areas, the adjustment rooms, spinal correction suite, and the restroom. Throughout this time, we encourage you to ask any questions you might have, including any inquiries about chiropractic care in general or even about Drs. Palmer and Catherine Peet and our facility or the techniques we use. Questions are always welcomed and encouraged.
Initial Consultation
After your tour, you’ll discuss your needs with a healthcare professional. This consultation involves discussing your goals, your concerns, your pain, and your symptoms. During this time, we’ll also review your new patient paperwork and your health history.
Initial Exam and Digital Imaging
Your consultation is followed by a complete chiropractic exam where we check your spine, nervous system, and posture with the help of the latest technology of computerized posture evaluation called Posture Screen and Posture Ray. Throughout this exam, we use advanced technology, which gives you a detailed overview of your nervous system function. Some individuals may require diagnostic imaging. If this is indicated for you, our diagnostic and digital imaging services are used to offer an even more detailed view of your skeletal system, which can help identify abnormalities as we do not want to take any guesses when it comes to your health. Only the necessary images will be taken.
Creating an Individual Chiropractic Care Plan
Next, we’ll schedule you for a follow-up visit, and these usually occur a day or two after your initial visit. When you come back in, Drs. Palmer and Catherine Peet will discuss the findings of your exam and assessment and will provide a custom plan of action that’s individualized to your specific needs. This plan will be designed to improve your health and wellness through the most current chiropractic methods.
